College is all about finding yourself and I learned more about myself during my freshman year of college than my entire 18 years of life.
I went into college in a very serious relationship and ended my freshman year without one at all and it couldn’t have been a better decision for the both of us. I have nothing but fond memories of our time together but sometimes two people just aren’t made for each other and you have to accept that. Relationships are great but you need to spend time alone to figure out life.
My freshman year was filled with classes and partying, like many other’s. I thought I had time management perfected but boy, I was wrong. Football games were a blast and possibly my favorite part of going to college in the south. College is a lot harder than people make it out to be but like I said, it’s all about finding yourself.
To get me through the stresses of college I turn to running. Since my junior year of high school I used running as my escape but strayed away for a while. After my relationship ended I decided to get myself together and get back into running. In a few months I’ll be running my first half marathon and I couldn’t be more excited for it.
I’ve still got a lot of learning to do but stick around to experience my life as a runner and a college student.
